About the Show
Director Eddie Cheek is looking for backers for his new movie, THE ZOMBIE WAS AN ALIEN, so he’s throwing a gala shindig for interested parties. Final Cut is an interactive murder mystery party where the audience members are gala attendees who will be encouraged to dress up, have fun, and talk to audience and actors alike in order to understand the full story and solve the mystery. As the evening progresses, the betrayal, affairs, Hollywood drama, and murders unfold in front of the audience, who is tasked with paying attention, asking questions, and discovering Who-Done-It!

Performances
Jillian Alden is a long time volunteer at ACT. She has been seen at the theater frequently, both on and off the stage, and her directorial debut was the show Karlaboy in 2024 and currently serves as Secretary on ACT's Board of Directors. Jillian also organized A Night of Drag-nificence in 2023 and helped organize and direct My Fatal Valentine for the Willamette Manor in 2023. Jillian worked for the Murder Mystery Co. out of Seattle and Portland for several years as an actor in several of their murder mystery shows, and is excited to bring that experience with her to bring more immersive events like Final Cut to ACT. Jillian is a professional counselor associate and a provisional drama therapist and sees clients at Gathered and Wise in Stayton, OR. Jillian loves to utilize her education and training to support her fellow theaterfolk on whatever journey they embark on together.
Jillian Alden, Co-Director
Casper Oliver, Co-Director
Casper Oliver (he/they) is a newer member to the ACT team, joining to help promote and interview the playwright of "Karlaboy" in 2024. Since then, he has volunteered in numerous positions around the theater, performed the supporting role of Thomas Rogers in ACT's 2025 run of Agatha Christie's "And Then There Were None", and has recently stepped up as one of ACT's Diversity and Belonging Managers. Prior to joining Albany Civic Theater, Casper has worked for multiple murder mystery companies, such as Broadway Murder Mysteries and The Murder Mystery Co, as well as being a test player for Hunt-a-Killer games. Their passion for murder mysteries is second only to their love of the artistic, queer, Pagan, and disabled communities. You can find Casper performing with Albany Civic Theater, Trickster's Apothecary, Thesperience, and at numerous drag shows as the y'allternative king Richard Rider.
